The first character posters for Alice Through The Looking Glass are here! There are way too many reasons to get excited for this one but there’s ONE center of attention: HATTER!

My favorite movie trio of all times – Tim Burton, Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter is back! And there’s doing Alice all over again, Burton is throwing Alice through the looking glass where she gets lost and needs to be rescued.

Disney debuted the new posters for Alice (Mia Wasikowska), The Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp), the White Queen (Anne Hathaway), Red Queen (Helena Bonham Carter) and Time himself (Sacha Baron Cohen), a peculiar creature who is part human, part clock.

The new flick, an all-new spectacular adventure featuring the unforgettable characters from Lewis Carroll’s beloved stories, Alice returns to the whimsical world of Underland and travels back in time to save the Mad Hatter.

Alice Through The Looking Glass opens in theaters on May 27th, 2016. Here’s the first trailer – which gave me goosebumps and made me more excited to see it than any movie or visual that’s going to be released in 2016.

The creative team also reteams Alice in Wonderland composer Danny Elfman, costume designer Colleen Atwood and VFX supervisor Ken Ralston.

Here are the first character posters for Alice: Through the Looking Glass courtesy of Disney. They are full of time-references and have a magic/adventure/fantasy theme about them.

Regarding the costumes, you should already know Colleen Atwood‘s name. She won an Oscar for Best Costume Design for Alice in Wonderland in 2010. She also did costumes for my other top 5 favorite (besides Wonderland) movies ever and is on the bucket list for the personalities that I hope I get to interview in this lifetime – I’m talking about Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events, Edward Scissorhands and Into the Woods.

Here’s a look at the costumes from Alice Through The Looking Glass – the photos are from Pinterest.
