Being on the streets of London Fashion Week in September for the SS16 collections was a privilege. It feels like an honor to experience a place where all the creatives in the world come together and put together beautiful & liberating outfits that both inspire and amaze.

London may not be the most British of cities anymore. Everything feels multicultural, a mix of every culture. The millennials got inspired by the internet, not by the magazines and that lead them to express themselves in a way that no other generation has done it before. And that translated into amazing streetstyle at London Fashion Week 2015.

It didn’t care if you are a blogger, a photographer, a waiter or just someone passing by on the way to work. If you were slightly inspiring, interesting and you had a sense of authenticity about you, photographers will take pictures of you. The boundary between the muse and the photographer is gone. Every blogger was also a photographer. And every blogger took photos of other bloggers and viceversa.

The real fashion show happens in the streets these days. That’s where the trend starts. Thousands of photographers are eager to shoot either something new, fresh – in both a simple or spectacular way – or big brands that they’re hunting because they need to sell the photos to the magazines that only promote high end fashion – the moment they say the lovely Doina Ciobanu dressed in full Versace, they just started shooting like crazy even though most of them didn’t know who she was. But they sure knew the pieces from the SS16 collection that were everywhere on Instagram.

Instagram is the new business card. These days you don’t ask for a  business card – and it wouldn’t make sense because if 30 photographers shoot you in the same time, you won’t remember which one’s which. Everyone was asking – what’s your instagram. And they have their smartphone already logged in, ready to search for your username and after you say it out loud, they instantly follow you and there it is. Simple as that, we’re already connected.

This is Sanziana Negru & Carmen Negoita, the only other Romanian fashion bloggers I saw around Baker Street, where all the action happened with bloggers & photographers everyday.
