The man in pink is a full H&M Studio SS17 outfit shot by Alex Belciuganu from Magnum Studio and inspired by the provocative Candy Ken.
I never thought I will be able to pull off a pink look. But I will let you decide if it works or not.
When I saw the pink outfit in the H&M showroom some months ago and they told me it’s part of the Studio SS17 collection – which I am absolutely in loved with every time, the Studio collection, I mean – I immediately thought: “what a challenge it is for a guy to be able to pull off a pink look”. And then I remembered the guy that does justice to everything pink, harajuku and Hello Kitty: Candy Ken. So this is inspired by him.
So I woke up one Sunday morning, I went out and got some pink socks (I already had the stickers at home for a few years now, I kept wanting to use them for a shoot but I didn’t find any good mood for them), I turned my hair pink for a few hours and we shot this in about 30 minutes in Alex’s studio. It was simple and fun.
The two mesh tshirts, the pink jacket, the pink shorts and the sandals, they’re all part of the H&M Studio SS17 collection – I think it’s sold out already.
