Cara Jocelyn Delevingne is the name of the IT girl that got both the fashion world, the press, the social media and the general public confused. Can you do high fashion and still be a downtown girl who wears snickers, looks messy in her spare time and look kinda masculine but manage to inspire people and make them want you more?
She is the heir of Kate Moss. Yet she is not. Even though she gets a lot of comparison to the legendary Moss. She’s loud and gives you the impression you know everything about her yet people don’t know anything real. Except for the fact that she is the daughter of a socialite and a property developer who comes from a line of royal-related-ancestors. One grandfather had the business and the money, the other had the press and the social connections. And if you try to dig deep about her family’s past, you’ll find a lot of juicy details. And everything was put into place for this 20-smth year old girl that conquered the world with her goldie locks.
In many ways, Cara Delevingne is best described as Alice in Wonderland. Because she is the confused-but-know-what-she-wants-but-actually-she-doesnt kinda girl. And also, because she has Alice’s innocence and curiosity in those big froggy eyes. And also because she came very close to getting the part of Alice in Tim Burton’s movie with the same name. Fortunately, the part went to Mia Wasikowa and Delevingne stuck to modelling until recently. And also because her pet – that travels with her most of the time – is a rabbit bunny, a small one. We don’t know if he owns a clock or not. And also because her first model portfolio/book consisted of a shooting with her posing as Alice in Wonderland in many shots. The photographer was George Bamford. She started with Alice and is stuck in Fashionland apparently.

Tio Torosyan is bringing his amazing illustrations of Cara Delevingne that complete this article. When asked why he chose Cara for the “Fashion illustrations of the week”, Tio wrote this:
“I guess I am not the only one who gets inspired by this gorgeous girl. Her personal style and her personality are a huge part of Cara’s appeal. Cara Delevigne is not just a supermodel with the best eyebrows, she makes everything look modern and every shot seems right. Her day-to-day look—variations on the theme of jeans shorts, T-shirts and crazy sunglasses—is her signature and has inspired groups of funs and teenage girls. She’s where the wild things are, banging the drums and leading the Burberry bandits. Cara Delevingne is all street Cool, she’s a single girl who will spice up your life. She is modelling, acting, singing, playing drums and the guitar. What else? Oh yeah, she’s a constant inspiration.
I decided to take the best shoots that Cara Delevingne did for any Vogue ever and I did the illustrations for those photos. I hope you enjoy them!”
